Fabregas feels more important within the Spain team

Cesc Fabregas was proud of his role within the Spanish national side and commented that he feels more and more important and has gained more prominence within the team highlighting that he really wanted to get on and continue in this vein.

Before the crunch against Chile, the player from Arenys de Mar, Barcelona, recalled that the Chilean players are real warriors and besides being very competitive, they have a lot of talent and Spain must be able to match them.

On the other hand, Santi Cazorla neither wanted to fall short of highlighting the fine attributes of Spain’s rival, who he sees on the whole as “very competitive”.

Thinking back to previous games in which Spain has beaten Chile, the Arsenal FC star believes that the South American rival may be out for revenge, but said that Spain too are also looking forward to today’s game and beating the Chileans.

Looking back, Cazorla stressed the importance of the victory of the Spanish team last Friday in Helsinki against Finland to take a giant step towards the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, recognizing that the game in Finland went very well for Spain earning three valuable points. He also sees France’s draw with Georgia even better, but now he and Spain must concentrate on the clash against Chile.

About Aaron

My name's Aaron and I'm a great Barça fan. I like to tell it like it is and if there is something I don't like about the club or something that needs addressing, you'll know!
