Andres Iniesta: Guardiola will impose his style at Bayern Munich

Andres Iniesta is thoroughly convinced that Pep Guardiola will be able to impose his emblematic style at Bayern Munich. “The Bayern game is very similar to our game. They look for lots of ball possession and the quality of the players is also very high,” said Iniesta in an interview with German daily newspaper Bild.

Iniesta also believes that Guardiola will have no difficulty in succeeding at Bayern Munich. “It will not be difficult. He’s going to coach a big club and will try to do things right. I have no doubt that he will succeed,” he said.

Meanwhile, Andrés Iniesta continues to grow his collection of awards. The latest one up was presented to him by the Spanish daily sports newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’. Iniesta was chosen as ‘Best male player of 2012’ for his role in the last European Championship where he was elected three times ‘man of the match’ and ‘player of the tournament’.

“I hope that my level, my football and my way of doing things, people will continue to like,” said Iniesta after receiving his award.

Andrés Iniesta put in a magical performance on Sunday morning where Barca met Getafe in their league clash which ended 6-1 to the Catalan giants. Iniesta’s performance on the pitch was mesmerizing. He controlled the game beautifully and even managed to get on the score sheet with Barca’s 5th goal. Surely it’s only a matter of time before the Barca playmaker finally picks up a coveted FIFA Ballon d’Or.
