Ex Barcelona player Deco has said in Portugal that “to evaluate Pep Guardiola better, you would have to see him at another club” and that “Jose Mourinho is the best manager in the world”.
Anderson Luis de Souza or Deco, former FC Barcelona star who now plays with Fluminense, has made some statements on Portuguese television RTP stating that “Mourinho is the best coach in the world because he has won everywhere and that it is very difficult to do that.”
“Guardiola has to win the Ballon d’Or and was a good coach at Barcelona, but I still say that he didn’t invent anything new. To evaluate Pep better, we would have to see him at other places, other clubs.”
Asked about the current Barca side compared to that of Deco’s time he said: “This team is the same as the Barca team in my time. The only difference is Messi.” He also commented on the upcoming FIFA Ballon d’Or: “Cristiano Ronaldo was the best in the world until June. Now Leo is doing incredible things. I don’t know who deserves to win it. I can not decide.”
Deco left Barcelona via the back door in 2008 for Chelsea. he played for the Catalan club between 2004 and 2008 but was never given the sending off he fully deserved as a Barca player.
Most people will remember Deco as the classy player he was at Barca and was one of the key players involved in Barcelona’s win over Arsenal in the Champions League final in Paris 2006.

Deco is a bitter man because he is part of the bad apples that Pep had to get rid of. What a difference it made because we started winning plenty of trophies! Pep invented winning football, a winning formula for both Barca and Spain. And by the way, Deco needs to check his countryman Mourinho’s head to head record against Pep Guardiola both at inter and madrid, its 4wins in 18 games or so. Whats so Special about such a pathetic statistic?
