It was a hard fought match at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuan stadium in Seville last night and Barca came back from two goals down to clinch a winner courtesy of David Villa assisted by Leo Messi. Seville will feel very hard done by from a controversial decision that left them with ten men for the last fifteen minutes.

Jordi Alba says the fans are not angry at him

Barcelona FC defender Jordi Alba has assured us that he feels the fans are not angry at him for his appearances with the national side at the London 2012 Olympic games. Some fans think that his participation at the games is the cause for his delayed entry into Tito Vilanova’s first eleven but the player dismissed the rumours as false.

FC Barcelona vs Granada CF match report

An awesome goal by Xavi Hernández who came off the bench to break the deadlock against Granada was enough to give Barca the lead until Borja Gómez put one in his own net and made it 2 nil to the Catalans. Barca’s persistance certainly paid off as it looked like Barca were coming away with just a point tonight.

Messi to the rescue against Spartak Moscow

Spartak Moscow had Barcelona on the rack for a while and were leading by two goals to one on the Catalan’s opening game in the Champions League. It was up to Leo Messi however, who scored another brace of goals and win the match for the Blaugranas.

Barcelona FC joins campaign to quit smoking

Barcelona football club has allowed its players and communication channels to be part of an anti-smoking campaign organized by the European Commission to try and convince millions of Barca fans around Europe to give up the smoking habit. We will soon see Xavi, Puyol, Iniesta and Valdés urging people to stop smoking in some videos that will be distributed around the Net.

Barca thrashes Getafe by 4 goals to one

FC Barcelona thrashed Getafe last night with goals coming from Adriano, Messi and David Villa. The Blaugranas started off without superstar Leo Messi or Alexis Sanchez but soon got the measure of the Madrid team who didn’t offer too much resistance to Tito’s Barca.

Leo Messi: “I would have rather scored fewer goals and won more trophies”

Leo Messi states that he would rather have scored less goals and won more titles last season. The Argentine star gave an interview to ESPN in which he had great words for ex Barca boss Pep Guardiola, too.

Barca could be wearing the Catalan flag next season

FC Barcelona could be wearing the colours of the Senyera or Catalan flag on their alternate shirt next season it has been revealed. If the move gets the go- ahead, this will be the first time in the history of Barca that it has adopted the Catalan colours on its football strip.
