Fabregás finally gets a deal

Wantaway Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregás looks set to complete his dream move to Barcelona FC.

But the Spanish star is going to have to fork out £4.5million from his own pocket to be able to do it.

The Gunners are set to agree on a £35.9m fee with the Catalan giants – plus add-ons – should Fabregás win any major tournament.

This fee also includes £900,000 a year which the Arsenal captain has agreed to pay out of his own wages over the next five years of his contract with Barcelona.
All Fabregás has to do now is sort out personal terms to bring to an end a three-year gripe from the unsettled Spaniard.

Last night he could be found at the London Colney training ground clearing out his locker.

The Gunners skipper has made no secret of his desire to return to Barca, the team he left at just 16 years of age.
His club have been holding out for around £45m and manager Arsene Wenger had vowed that Fabregás would not be allowed a move back to Barca.

Over these past weeks it has become increasingly obvious that keeping him against his will would be a big mistake for the Gunners.
Teammate Samir Nasri is expected to follow in Fabregás’ footsteps in leaving and join Manchester City.
City are prepared to pay Nasri £180,000-a-week wages in a £25m deal.
