Barcelona Beats Mallorca By 3 And Real Drop 2 Points

Barcelona FC beat Mallorca 0-3 with goals from Messi, Villa and Pedro. They beat Mallorca on their own ground without 4 of their key players, too. Valdés, Xavi, Puyol and Alves. It took Barcelona 37 minutes to score a goal and get into the game but once that was accomplished the game effectively ended for Mallorca as Barça got their groove on and went to town.

Real Madrid on the other hand had a tough match against Deportivo where it ended in a goalless draw. it seemed that Real Madrid only went into 5th gear in the last half hour of the match when they turned up the heat with misses from Ronaldo, Adebayor and Karim Benzema. Di Maria and Ozil played out of their boots but it was not to be and Real had to walk away from Riazor leaving a much needed 2 extra points on the table.

Barcelona now has 68 points to Real Madrid’s 61 with their nearest rivals Valencia on 48 points.
